Ceturgh Peru stands out at the Piura Papea Rico gastronomic fair in celebration of National Potato Day

Piura, May 30, 2023 – Ceturgh Peru, the renowned gastronomy institute, stood out at the Piura Pepa Rico gastronomic fair, organized by the Economic Development office of the Municipality of Piura, in commemoration of National Potato Day.

The talented students of Ceturgh Peru presented a variety of exquisite dishes made from potatoes in four categories: savory, sweet, drinks and models. The creativity and skill of our students impressed everyone in attendance, leaving a lasting impression on everyone's palates and minds.

In the savory category, the “Mixtura de Flor Morada” dish, created by students Anthony Steven Márquez Juárez and María Magdalena Curay Arellano, was recognized for its exceptional flavor and presentation. Meanwhile, in the sweet category, the “Tribute to the Potato” dish, which included sweet potato, potato flan, potato mousse and potato pancakes, surprised everyone with its balance of flavors and textures. This magnificent dish was presented by the students Camila Nicole López García, Vivian Oriana Sandoval Chávez, Jefferson Samuel Canova Sánchez, Katherine Cristina Ordinola Sánchez, Nery Yaslany Jiménez Castillo and José Antonio Fiestas Olivares.

In the drinks category, the “Flor de Papa” cocktail stood out, a refreshing and unique creation, made by students Kevin Eduardo Flores Melendres and Danny Gelsi Cabos Rivera. Lastly, in the model category, the famous Sea Lion, an impressive artistic representation by gastronomy students, Claudia Belén Timaná Siancas, Christofer Bryam Fiestas Rumiche, Frank William Chunga Vite, Dayly Medaly Sosa Chapa and Aldair Ernesto Montero Morales, captured the attention of all present.

The Municipality of Piura recognized and congratulated the students of Ceturgh Peru for their outstanding participation in the Piura Papea Rico gastronomic fair. The dishes presented were praised for their originality, quality, and passion for highlighting the versatility and richness of the potato in Peruvian gastronomy.

“We are proud of our talented students and their dedication to taking gastronomy to new levels. Their passion, creativity, and culinary skills inspire us to continue promoting excellence in gastronomy,” said Ceturgh Peru director Katty Vegas.

The attendees were delighted with the delicious dishes presented by the Ceturgh Peru students, who demonstrated their commitment to gastronomic innovation and the preservation of the Peruvian culinary tradition.
